Contests Information

In conjunction with the Chilliwack Interchange 2008 convention, we will be holding two distinct contest activities:

an NMRA Contest (Eligible entrants are Full-fare Registants who are NMRA members)

a Popular Vote Contest (Eligible entrants are Full-Fare Registrants and module/layout owners) participating in the Public Show.

Smaller-sized models will be displayed and judged at the Best Western Rainbow Country Inn (the official convention hotel) in the Oak Room on the ground floor.

Larger models, specifically layouts and modules, will be displayed and judged at Heritage Park (the public show venue).

Contest entries will be accepted from eligible entrants from Friday to Saturday 2:00 PM when the contests close.

The winners will be congratulated and presented with their prizes during the Saturday evening banquet.

We request that all models be left on display until 4:00 PM Sunday, so that a larger number visitors have the opportunity to enjoy them.

Judging will commence at 2:00 PM, and will be
performed by NMRA-qualified judges, in accordance with NMRA rules.

Every Registered conventioneer will be given a ballot
they can use to vote for his or her favourite models.
